Why Study in Canada?

Studying at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) makes you eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)—a key step toward gaining Canadian work experience and qualifying for PR.

Program Options:

  • 1-year diploma → 1-year PGWP
  • 2-year diploma → 3-year PGWP
  • Bachelor’s degree (3–4 years) → 3-year PGWP
  • Master’s degree (at least 16 months) → 3-year PGWP and direct route to PR in Ontario and other Provinces.

Some healthcare programs may allow your spouse to apply for an open work permit during your studies.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A Letter of acceptance from a DLI
  • Proof of financial support for your studies
  • Have no criminal particular(s) on your police record
  • Pass the medical exam done by a panel doctor
  • Have an intention to leave Canada

Work While You Study

  • Work up to 24 hours/week during school
  • Spouse may be eligible for an open work permit
  • Open work permits allow employment with any employer across Canada (restrictions may apply)

Tuition & Living Costs

  • Tuition: Starting CAD $15,000 / year
  • Living Expenses: IRCC compliance CAD $22,750/year

(Proof of living expenses may be waived if supported by a Canadian PR or citizen family member)
